Novruz Holiday Festival organized by the Humboldt Forum and the National Ethnology Museum was held on March 23 in Berlin, Germany. Delegations from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan attended the festival. The event was opened by the Director of the Ethnology Museum, Lars Christian Koh. Chairman of the “Friends of the Ethnological Museum” Public Association Johan Brüning also informed about the Novruz Holiday, its ancient history and extensive geographical location. Then folk music groups from participating countries performed at the event. At the festival, Azerbaijan was represented by “Tabassum” dance group of Children-Youth Development Center No.2 of the Ministry of Education, with the support of State Committee on Diaspora Affairs and Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis of Germany. Our representatives performed “Odlar Yurdu”, “Bayram”, “Naz Elma”, “Dasmali”, “Yalli”, “Qawalla dance”, “Tiflisi” dance performances. Foreigners who are interested in the Azerbaijani corner have been introduced to our national traditions and cuisine. Deputy Executive Director of the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora, Ayten Aliyeva also attended the event.
