The Diaspora Youth Summer Camp project will be held on July 8-14, 2019 at the training center of Ministry of Taxes situated in Shamakhi city in order to strengthen the ties of our young compatriots living abroad with their historical motherland. Taking into account the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on January 11, 2019 to declare 2019 as the "Year of Nasimi", the 2nd Summer Camp of Azerbaijani Diaspora Youth project will be dedicated to the 650th anniversary of Imaddin Nasimi.

Selection phase of participants for the project to be reorganized this year is completed. The selection process for the project, which received hundreds of applications from 51 countries, was held in two stages. In the limited selection list the applications were assessed considering the representation and selection criteria of each country.

The project, which is planned to be held annually, is implemented for the first time in 2018 by the State Committee on Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the camp, young people will take part in many excursions, trainings, competitions and the panels on various topics with the participation of local and foreign experts. The project will be covered by local and international media.
