A delegation from the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan paid a visit to Israel from October 26 - November 2 of this year with the support of the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora and the Israeli Reut Group.

During the visit in question, the delegation members improved their knowledge on Israeli relationship-building with the Jewish and Israeli diaspora, as well as Israel’s cooperation with other countries in the field of diaspora, and in addition the delegation members familiarized with the experience related to Jewish and Israeli diaspora activities.

During the visit in question, the delegation held meetings with a number of Jewish diaspora leaders in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Israeli universities, brain centers, diaspora funds and representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs. The delegation has visited the museum. During the meetings, the sides exchanged views on diaspora, provided information on the activities of Azerbaijan in the field of diaspora, and discussed the prospects of cooperation between the diasporas and peoples of both countries.

This visit has made a significant contribution to the further improvement of the State Committee's existing experience and strategy, as well as strengthening of its ties with the world of Jewish Diaspora.
