On March 13, 2020, the Second Global Engineering Symposium held in Baku, with the support of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund, and the organizational support of the Association of Azerbaijani Students and Researchers, Freiberg University in Germany and the Horizon Education Agency. The Symposium was organized to bring together people from the fields of oil and chemical engineering, mining technology, mechanics, construction and information technologies. Students of Azerbaijani universities, as well as young professionals and scientists studying various engineering disciplines, had the opportunity to get an insight into the spectrum of engineering and build a personal network. The main purpose of the Symposium is to organize a meeting of young people aspiring to become engineers with specialists in this field and thereby increase their knowledge and skills in the field of mechanical engineering, as well as encourage and motivate our youth to build a successful engineering career in the country and abroad.
The Global Engineering Symposium, organized by a group of initiative young Azerbaijanis in the field of scientific research, was also met with interest in Germany. The news about the symposium was published on the website of the University of Freiberg.
The next symposium will take place on October 24, 2020, in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
