A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora and the Sabir İnternational Foundation in the USA.

The purpose of the memorandum is to provide mutual support to Azerbaijanis living in the United States in the realization of the fundamental rights and freedoms of Azerbaijanis living in the United States, in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States.

The document reflects the issues of a closer association of our compatriots living in the United States around Azerbaijani ideology and the further expansion of ties with Azerbaijanis and diaspora organizations living there.

The Fund for the Support of the Azerbaijani Diaspora and the the Sabir İnternational Foundation have agreed to implement joint projects to develop the Azerbaijani diaspora in the United States and to enhance the professionalism and organization of members of the diaspora, as well as organizing exchange programs for students from the United States and Azerbaijan. The parties will also implement joint projects aimed at popularizing the culture and history of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the head of the the Sabir İnternational Foundation in the USA is Gunduz Tahirli, grandson of the famous Azerbaijani journalist, genius poet Mirza Alekper Sabir.
