Taking into account the large number of members of our diaspora living in Turkey and the problems they face, the project «Legal support of Azerbaijanis living in the Republic of Turkey» was continued from March 1 to June 30, 2021 with the financial support of the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora.
The aim of the project is to provide legal assistance to our compatriots temporarily or permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Turkey, studying, working, short-term or long-term need to come to Turkey, to contact the competent authorities and provide information on migration issues.
Within the framework of the project, 107 of our compatriots received support in migration work and were provided with «Health insurance».
Twenty of our compatriots were provided with legal advice on the acquisition of movable and immovable property in Turkey, marriage and divorce, and legal employment, as well as assistance in the preparation and receipt of the necessary documents. At the same time, issues related to the conclusion of marriage, issuance of passports and birth certificates, treatment of our veterans who participated in the Second Karabakh War were resolved.
Our compatriot living in Turkey, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law of the University of Ankara Laman Suleimanli, provided legal support to our compatriots in all the above-mentioned areas.
The Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora will once again ensure the sustainability of the project.
